Exhibited at TICAD9 Business Expo and Conference

JTEC participated in the Japan Fair of TICAD Business Expo & Conference, one of the thematic events of The Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9). At this event, JTEC presented its “ICT Solutions for Disaster Management by Integrating Broadcast and Data Communications Technologies”, which has been developed for countries vulnerable to natural disasters and is currently undergoing pilot implementation in Latin America. The solution was showcased through informative panels, video presentations, and interactive demonstration devices.

During the exhibition, numerous representatives from various African countries and Japanese companies engaged in business across Africa visited the JTEC booth, demonstrating significant interest and appreciation for this solution. Furthermore, meaningful discussions were held regarding its future application and practical implementation throughout African nations.

In light of the recent global increase in natural disasters, the implementation of disaster prevention systems for disseminating emergency information to the public has become critically important. JTEC, drawing upon extensive research into local needs, has developed a comprehensive solution that integrates telecommunications and broadcasting. This initiative encompasses both systems development and localized implementation support.

A significant achievement for JTEC has been the successful development and implementation of a prototype system in Latin America, which incorporates CAP/EDXL-DE, the globally recognized standard format for disaster information dissemination, in collaboration with local broadcasters. JTEC is currently exploring opportunities to expand this system to the Asian and African regions.

These accomplishments were prominently featured in the exhibition.

JTEC remains committed to contributing to disaster prevention and mitigation efforts in countries susceptible to natural disasters.
